Our love for Kelburn was instant and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Leigh and myself. I am sure all those that attended will forever remember the joyful memories of that sunny weekend.
Kelburn, one of Australia’s oldest sheep stations, founded in 1831, is located in the beautiful Southern Tablelands, 2 hours from Sydney, 45 minutes from the Southern Highlands and an hour from Canberra. It is only 10 minutes from Goulburn, where all ancillary services required for the most wonderful event are located. There is heritage accommodation in Goulburn, world class catering, florists, marquee and equipment hire, as well as rail, bus and air transport.
Kelburn experiences four distinct seasons. The gardens reflect this. Winter is bracing with the dramatic outline of the magnificent deciduous trees as they lose their leaves. Spring is radiant with the drama of new life, the trees budding, the blossoms and bulbs emerging and the birth of new lambs. Summer brings on a kaleidoscope of garden colour and warm temperatures without the humidity of Sydney. Autumn, “the season of mellow fruitfulness”, the orchard is full of fruit with the leaves of the garden trees changing to their autumnal hues.
